What Farm My City Is
Farm My City (FMC) is the evolution of the grocery experience: a member storefront that connects local micro-farms and producers directly to the people who eat their food. The idea is simple — get more for less — through more choice, lower prices, and easy access.
FMC brings together five working parts into one "farm to table" network:
Co-operative of Farmers
Micro-farmers and producers get their goods onto shelves.
The Marketplace
The online software and portal — discovery to delivery.
Red Rabbit
The transportation system and software (logistics + delivery).
The Markets
Brick-and-mortar hubs and supermarkets.
The Membership
Community Supported Agriculture with real buying power.
The Marketplace
From discovery to delivery, the marketplace lets vendors and shoppers manage their searches and operations in one place. Vendors build a relationship with buyers through ratings, searches and product listings — an all-inclusive directory for exploring food, products and services.
In the live app this is the Shop area. Browsing is open to everyone; members and professional accounts unlock better pricing and tools.
The Catalogues (behind the Farm to Table door)
Products are organized into three catalogues so the right buyer sees the right price. They all sit behind the Farm to Table doorway — one entrance, three ways to buy.
| Catalogue | Who it is for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Retail (CAT1) | Everyday members & shoppers | Single-unit retail price, dropshipped from the farm/supplier |
| Wholesale (CAT2) | Pro / Retailer accounts | Case pricing (e.g. case of 12) at wholesale rates |
| Warehouse | Stores ordering stock | Owned warehouse stock, bulk/each, with live quantity |
Access is controlled per party: suppliers post to Retail & Wholesale, the warehouse posts Warehouse stock, and stores order from all three. You only see what your account type is allowed to use.
Membership & Accounts
The main reason to join is monthly savings. The average household shops about four times a month, so a membership pays for itself on the first trip.
Pedestrian
Log on, search and buy with no membership. Prices run about 20% higher than members, and you cannot accept offers or promotions.
Basic
Simple registration. You are never charged more than a set margin over cost, and you can accept offers and promotions.
Pro / Retailer
Identifies a legitimate supply-chain business. Buy directly at wholesale prices and participate as a distributor.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
The member program creates group buying power — think of a membership warehouse club, but for truly local food. Members can prepay for food to save, and co-operatives act as one supply chain so the community buys stronger together.
Delivery (Red Rabbit)
Red Rabbit is the transportation layer: competitive, reliable, same-day express delivery across the Greater Toronto Area and routes along the Windsor–Montreal corridor — where most of Ontario lives, works and plays.
By moving smaller amounts with more already-available people, FMC keeps logistics efficient and drivers earning a proper living income. "Sometimes less is more."
Hubs start small and grow with the supply line and membership, spreading across the city and province.
For Suppliers & Producers
As a professional producer, supplier or organization you can participate as a distributor on the platform.
- Create a listing and post it to the Retail and/or Wholesale catalogue.
- Upload product details, set pack sizes and pricing, and add banner advertising to draw attention to your quality and availability.
- Retailers can buy from you directly at wholesale prices; everyday members shop your retail listings.
- Subscription income is merged with product-replacement cost to enable buying power and bulk purchasing across the network.
